Using Signage to Attract Customers to Your Sports Merchandise Stall

If you are starting a business that specializes in sports merchandise, then sports events are your best bet to making good sales. With many sports merchandise businesses competing in the same market, you wonder how you will cut a niche for your business. However, there are a couple of creative ways you can use signage to attract new customers. This article articulates some of these approaches.

Use YOU -- The likelihood that a customer will buy a product increases when they visualize themselves using that product. Therefore, ensure that you use the words YOU or YOURS so that your customers can own the product before they can even buy it. For instance, when advertising your sports merchandise, your signage can read, "You'll increase tour team's support with this jersey."

State Reasons For Purchasing -- Stating the reason(s) why a customer needs your product is one sure way of attracting new clientele. If customers see why they are better off with your product and agree with the reasons, then you are on your way to making great sales. For instance, you signage can read, "Increase your team's chances of winning with our selected banners." Such a statement on your signage will undoubtedly encourage customers to purchases your products.

Visibility -- Most sports events are usually packed with people to capacity. Therefore, your signage might not be seen if you do not make it conspicuous. With fans walking in every direction, you want to ensure that your sign stands out among the rest. Using compelling colors such as bright red or yellow will make the signage even more visible from away. Additionally, you can use vivid colors that are trending for maximum customer engagement. The same goes for fonts. The sizes of fonts you use determine whether your stall will be visible to customers or not. Make the fonts big enough to be seen from afar. However, do not use multiple colors on fonts, as this tends to make it difficult for customers to read your signage.

Less is More -- Social media is filled with different trendy writing styles including shortening of words. Since most sports events attendees are young people, you will not go wrong when you shorten some of the words intended for your signage. People are getting used to shortened words; therefore, you should take advantage of such freedom. For instance, you can use "U" instead of "You." The trick is to shorten your signage words ruthlessly, but still maintain the message.
